As everyone is aware, the heat this summer has been relentless.  To help battle the heat we have had a roof built over the deck.  Now you can sit in the shade while overlooking the vineyard.  We generally always have a nice breeze blowing here on top of the hill, but have also added fans to help keep the air moving.  Come on out and check out the new construction!!

We are now open for the season. Hope you will stop by to visit. We have lots of entertainment scheduled for you. Come by, visit, have a glass (or bottle) of our fine wines and enjoy the scenery!

I am headed to the Indian Hills Winery tonight. Larry Speight will be appearing live.

I remember Larry during my college days. He was my English Comp instructor at TRCC. He and I are amazed that I now own my own publishing business and wrote the biography, 18 Minutes and a Lifetime: A Biography of Christopher Dale Sifford.

It was a relaxing evening last night for guests at the Indian Hills Winery. Nicole, Martie, and April Sifford greeted and served their guests, while Dan Wiethop played his soothing sounds.

I was informed by Nicole that they do plan on staying open during the winter months if possible. So, if you are looking for a place to relax for a couple of hours, consider Indian Hills Winery this winter. Nicole tells me that they may not serve full meals during the winter months.

Some harvesting of the beautiful vineyards began a few weeks ago. They expect to harvest again in 2-3 weeks. Family, friends, and neighbors will join in to help gather the grapes. Even I may try my hand at helping harvest. I”m trying to figure out how I can juggle my notebook and a camera while picking grapes! This is one opportunity I do not want to miss.

We want to thank everyone that came out to help us celebrate our grand opening at Indian Hills Winery in April. It was a huge success. You can see some of the photos we took by visiting the Photo Gallery.
